Cantonese should be preserved because of its long and rich history. Most of the famous poems, writings, and Cantonese opera scripts from the Tong dynasty were created in Cantonese. If Cantonese died out, we wouldn’t be able to fully understand the beauty of the literature and the creator’s design.
Through comparing English slangs to Cantonese slangs, this project will help English speakers to understand more of the language and culture similarities between English and Cantonese. Also to spark interest for Cantonese Culture.
